Costs

We charge a yearly fee per weather station to cover the development and support of the website and app, which is developed by our team at Square V Software for Agriculture, in Bendigo VIC. There is a discount for the 2nd, 3rd etc stations on the same account. A station can be made up of any number of sensors (for example, it might include a temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction and 5 soil moisture layers) - it is just one device transmitting through one telemetry account.

We charge an initial setup fee as it takes extra time on our part to get you setup and connected - this is only payable in year 1!

Example

Tim's a farmer in Jil Jil in the Victorian Mallee - he has 5 stations on his farm, 2 of which have probes attached. One is an Adcon station, 2 are Outpost stations, and 2 are BCG stations.

Tim connects all of his stations to DataFarmer so that he can view all of his stations on one website and app.

Year 1 cost: $100 setup fee + $150 1st station fee + 4x $75 other station fee = $550 (+GST).

Year 2 and onwards cost: $150 1st station fee + 4x $75 other station fee = $450 (+GST).

Note that Tim's neighbour also has a weather station pretty close to some of Tim's paddocks, which is also in DataFarmer. Tim can add his neighbour's station to his list for free, and it will show up in the same way as the other stations.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to help.
